The Harp Ensemble is open to intermediate and advanced lever or pedal harpists attending the conference. The group will practice each day, beginning Monday afternoon, and share the music in the outreach concert at Grace Church of Glendora on Wednesday evening. This is an exciting opportunity to share with Los Angeles a heavenly Harp Choir!

Music for the Harp Ensemble The Harp in Worship Conference
These are the songs that will be used by the Harp Ensemble, July 30, 2008 at 7:30 pm for the final evening at Grace Church of Glendora, 1515 South Glendora Ave, Glendora CA 91740.  Harps will be provided by Salvi Harps.

As the Deer  arranged by Jill Justice  $5.50   
This music includes the parts for harp 1 and harp 2.  Harp 1 can be played on a lever harp and Harp 2 is for pedal harp.  This arrangement can also be played as a lever or pedal harp solo. Harp 1 is intermediate level Harp 2 is more advanced. (key of D)

This brand new arrangement, written for this conference, is for lever harp, pedal harp, penny whistle (or soprano recorder), triangle (or finger cymbal), and vocals. Intermediate/advanced level.  (key of G) 

The words of this hymn, describe Jesus’ life from Bethlehem to Nazareth to Galilee to Calvary, so it can be used at any time of the year. This well-known hymn tune is known by several other names.

Be Still My Soul, arranged by Ellie Choate           
The collection of songs with multiple harp parts and the score is:  $11.00
If you would like just a copy of  Be Still My Soul,  Harp 1 or Harp 2, these can be ordered. Both parts can be played on the lever harp tuned in F.  Harp 2 does have one lever change. The parts are a beginning/intermediate level.   (key of F)

This piece is from Ellie’s collection called ‘Inspirational Moments with Friends’.  The arrangements are for multiple harps and include the songs: Love at Home, Be Still My Soul, A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring and Come, Come Ye Saints.

This arrangement uses excerpts from  Debussy’s First Arabesque as a introduction and  in the coda, as well as in the bass pattern.   Harp 1 is for lever harp in Eb and Harp 2 is for the pedal harp. With the score, a guitar part and vocal part are also available. Intermediate/advanced level  (key of Eb).
