Who we are.

The Harp in Worship Conference is for harpists from around the world to gather for concerts, worship, ensembles, workshops, speakers and fellowship as we offer praise to God with music.

Please make plans to join us  in-person
for an event that will enrich your playing and inspire you to praise God by using your Harp in Worship.

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
Break forth and sing for joy and sing praises.
Sing praises to the Lord with the harp,
With the harp and the sound of singing.

The 2023 Harp in Worship Conference will be held at First United Methodist Church, in the heart of downtown Fort Worth, Texas.

This historic Gothic style church offers multiple meeting spaces, tranquil spots to rest and reflect, traditional and contemporary services, state of the art technical equipment, excellent AV team, a talented music staff and vibrant music ministry, and the outstanding Anne S. and Henry B. Paup Sanctuary Pipe Organ, the third largest pipe organ in Texas. We are truly blessed to have been welcomed to this church for our conference.

The "Wonderful Grace of Jesus" is written by Haldor Lillenas (1918). Jill Justice arranged this hymn for "Presenters Ensemble" to be played at the Harp In Worship Conference, July 1-4, 2021.

This preview is played by Jill Justice, Paul Baker, Laura Logan Brandenburg, Ellie Choate, Robbin Gordon-Cartier, Cindy Horstman, Elaine Litster, Bonnie Mohr, Carla Siegesmund, Mary Stevens, and Anna Vorhes, presenters at the 2021 HIW conference. Video mastered by Cindy Horstman.

Special Guests

Guest Artists will include: Frank Voltz,  Cindy Horstman, Laura Brandenburg with organist Peggy Graff,  Angi Bemiss, Kimberly Snaufer DeRosa,  the Dallas Jazz Harp Ensemble, Bonnie Mohr, Mary Radspinner, Mary Stevens, Anna Vorhes, Elizabeth Webb, Peter Wiley, and many others. Online workshops by Robbin Gordon-Cartier and Sunita Staneslow.

The focus of the conference will be on music for traditional and contemporary worship, as well as on therapeutic music as an extension of church music ministry. The conference schedule will include uplifting concerts, informative workshops, inspiring devotionals, and participants’ harp ensembles.

The harp ensembles will be featured in Sunday morning services. All conference attendees are invited to join in worship with the congregation.

Monday will be a bonus day to further explore the role of live music with the harp and other acoustic instruments in various therapeutic settings. The day will consist of panel discussions on multiple topics, led by leaders in the field.
